You Don’t Need More Information, You Need More Stillness
Don’t wait around for a loud, obvious sign from above.
A lot of us think that major decisions or breakthroughs will come with a dramatic sign, like lightning or a big announcement. We end up waiting, overthinking, staying busy, searching online, and asking friends for advice, hoping the answer will be so obvious that it silences our doubts. But intuition doesn’t come through when there’s too much going on. It can’t compete with all the distractions. It isn’t loud like a megaphone. It’s more like a quiet whisper you only notice when you slow down.
The real issue isn’t that you’ve lost your intuition. It’s still there, just buried under everything else. There are outside pressures, deadlines, and the constant push to make the perfect, logical choice. When your mind is racing, it’s tough to tell panic apart from intuition.
But they actually feel very different.
Fear and impulse are loud, frantic, and demanding. They shout, “Do this right now to stay safe!” They feel heavy, urgent, and crave quick reassurance.
Intuition feels calm and neutral. It doesn’t argue or try to persuade you. It simply says, “This is the way.” It can feel like a breath of fresh air, even if it doesn’t make sense at first.
I started to trust myself when I stopped searching for answers in my head and began noticing them in my body. I began to notice small physical changes, like a sudden, relaxed feeling in my chest instead of the tight, anxious grip in my stomach. I realized my intuition speaks through a calm, clear sense of knowing. It’s a clean feeling that doesn’t need to explain itself.
Your body keeps track of your truth long before your mind can put it into words. Regaining your inner authority means sitting quietly until things become clear.
If you keep stirring a glass of muddy water, you can’t see through it. Analyzing the mud doesn’t help. You have to set the glass down and let it be still. Only then does the mud settle and the water become clear. Finding clarity is the same. You need to get comfortable with quiet and stop seeking outside approval, so you can finally hear your own truth.
You don’t need more advice or information. You just need more stillness.
