Universal Law Series: The Law of Rhythm: Why my Career shift was not a Detour
I have spent over a decade studying the human body, and my perspective on healing has changed considerably.
My path wasn't a straight line. It was a series of deep, intentional swings.
First, I worked in Dentistry. It offered precision along with clinical environments, focusing on the physical mechanics of health. After that, I moved into Massage and Esthetics. Here, I shifted from clinical to restorative. I learned how much the body holds onto what the mind cannot always name.
Each transition seemed like a stop, but looking back, it was the Law of Rhythm—everything in life moves in cycles: highs, lows, motion, rest.
I used to wonder why I couldn't just 'pick one thing' and stay there. But the 5th Universal Law teaches us that the pendulum must swing to gather momentum. My time in the dental and massage worlds wasn't separate from my work now in Somatics, Energy Work, and Coaching. It was a mechanical requirement. I had to understand the physical structure before I could understand the nervous system. I had to master 'touch' before I could master 'frequency.'
Here is what each ‘swing’ of my career actually taught me:
Dentistry taught me Precision: Healing needs a grounded, professional, safe environment. A beautiful smile starts from a healthy foundation.
From Massage & Esthetics, I learned Presence: I saw how the body stores what the mind cannot name. Stress, grief, and joy are held in our tissues.
From Reiki & Energy Work, I learned Frequency: As a Reiki Master for people and animals, I saw that everything has a vibration. The spirit must feel safe before the body can truly let go.
From Somatics & Coaching, I learned Empowerment: I now help others reprogram their subconscious and regulate their nervous systems. When we align our internal rhythm with Universal Law, we stop fighting the tide. We start riding the waves.
Today, as a Reiki Master, Somatic Practitioner, and Coach, I integrate all my past experiences. The precision from dentistry, the empathy from massage, and the universal principles from my current path each build upon the last. Looking back on my career, I no longer see changes as restarts but as necessary steps that elevated my work to its current level.
Have you had a 'past life' career that feels totally different from what you do now? What if it wasn't a detour? What if it was the exact rhythm you needed to get here?
