Universal Law Series: Your Body is the Scoreboard, Not the Enemy: How the Law of Cause and Effect turns "pain" into "data"
Many of us learn to see our bodies as problems to solve. If your back feels tight, you might take a pill. If your heart feels restless, you look for a distraction. If you have a knot in your stomach, you try to push through. We often focus on fixing the symptoms rather than identifying the real cause.
Universal Laws say there are basic rules that shape both our world and our personal lives. One of these is the Law of Cause and Effect, which means every effect has a cause. So, nothing happens by chance, even how your body or nervous system reacts. Your body reflects the choices, thoughts, and emotions you put into motion.
I remember a time when my shoulders felt tight and tense. I kept getting massages and stretching, hoping to fix it. I was only treating the symptom. When I finally paused and paid attention, I realized the real reason: I had agreed to three projects that didn’t suit me. My body was telling me I was taking on too much, not that I was failing.
Your body’s reactions, like butterflies in your stomach, feeling tense, or sudden tiredness, are physical signs of your inner state or emotions. These feelings are the results of choices you’ve made or patterns you’ve followed, like holding yourself back or ignoring your instincts. When you see your body showing the effects, you can use these signals to help you find the real cause.
Think back to the last time you had a strong gut feeling. Maybe you felt a sudden lightness in your chest when a new idea came to you. That feeling was the effect. The cause was that you finally matched your energy with what you really want. When I say, "the body doesn't lie; it just tallies the bill," I mean that your body reacts to how well your feelings align with your true desires.
If you want your body to feel better, try changing how you respect your boundaries and your truth. You can’t fix everything just by stretching if your life doesn’t fit you. Take it slow and be kind to yourself. Notice and celebrate small changes as they happen. Real change comes from self-compassion and accepting where you are now.
Close your eyes for a moment. Where do you feel something in your body right now? What is the real reason behind it?
Are you ready to listen to your body? If you are, leave a "🌿" in the comments to show your commitment.
With Love, Melissa xx
